Greetings readers. I find it amazing that I haven't written anything in the past few months and I'm still nearing a million hits. Thank you all. I don't deserve it. I really don't and I thank each and every one of you for reading. I know you have a million things you could read, and you chose to read me.
Lots of things have happened since we last met, and I feel more than obliged to bring you up to speed. First off, I had major surgery on my foot and that is still ongoing. One point of interest here, I am not broke, nor am I in danger of being broke, and Obamascare hasn't passed yet. Amazing how I am be in the 99%, have something major happen, and still survive. I'm either lucky, or it's a ruse, a hoax if you will. I'm betting it's very little of the first and a lot of the second and third. I think when it was all said and done, I am in the hole a couple grand for 60 grand worth of medical work. And I will be walking as a result for a good many years to come.
I have a lot of good friends on all sides of the issues, and on this one I am still siding with the right of the matter. Let's get real here for just a minute. And I want you to be serious with yourselves and reason this out for a moment. There's not a single one of us here that would work for less than what we already make. I could call a few names out and point direct fingers, but I will not do that. Now, imagine if you will, you've spent more on an education than you will now possibly ever recover. That's exactly where we put our doctors. And the reason this will never resonate with a majority of the people complaining is because they are in positions that require less than a degree and a cup of coffee. Look at what I do. Are the people there smart? You bet they are. But, you can get in on a high school diploma, and a couple years experience. You don't need to spend 10 years in college, and another 6-8 in residency before you can even really make a dime. I know that is not going to resonate still with most, but it should. I mean think about what you are making now, and decide if spending 300 grand is really worth it.
Why am I even bringing this up? Government is going to regulate the people I depend on to keep me healthy. I don't really want to hear anything from anyone who hasn't read it. And that's 99% of my flames. And the other 1% think it makes sense because it was written in such a manner as to obfuscate the real intent of the policy behind 1400 pages of mind-numbing, rights removing, constitutional sidestepping, babble with the sole intent of posturing to the entitlement crowd with zero regard to your health and well-being. Oh, I can't possibly believe that can I? Well, if we are in a crisis, and you already have to wait an hour for 5-15 minutes of a doctor's time on a conveyor belt, why does a bill report to care about you by adding an additional reported 30+ million people to that same system while making no provision whatsoever to add to the general pool of physicians and, at the same time, making it very difficult for the current pool to operate safely at the same time? You can forget the bill right there. Any anyone who really needs health care should pause a moment and think this thing out all the way. What good is affordable health care when you can't get in to see a doctor already, and we're adding more to the pool and less to the service end? It's madness and insanity all rolled into one.
I know there are people who work hard, and need coverage, and can't afford it. This was not the answer and if it was, the question was stupid. But let's say I was in the middle. 30 million people for the first time in a long time get access to coverage. That's great. Let me know how finding a doctor worked out. Sorry to burst your bubble here, but it won't work out. Ever. You can't fix something by breaking it even worse. But let's say I could take a stance of moderate here. Give me something to work with here. We've passed a bill, upheld in the Supreme Court in the worst of ways, and Obamabots call this a rousing success for the people and the Constitution. Can't wait to hear the applause when a Congress you don't like passes something you can't stand, slaps a tax on it and walks away with a smile. Guess what? That's what your entitlement cost you. A little more of your freedom. Conservatives got slapped on the head this time. Next time it might be Liberals. Please, don't whine any more than you already do. I'm telling you it's coming. And your geniuses made all this possible for the next two or three decades to come. So suck it up and know your role in your own demise.
So, now we have a couple of people who actually still want the White House in November. The idiot on the Left is our incumbent, President Obama. The smooth talking idiot on the Right, is Romney. Folks, I am a Conservative, and trust me, we don't have a dog in the fight. And enough about Ron Paul. He has as much of a chance of getting into the White House without a tour ticket as I did of getting in the Playboy mansion in my single days. I'd like to see them run on their record but Obama would loose in a landslide as opposed to the 3% margin I am predicting in November. Face it Libs, you needed Clinton. You hired someone with about 180 days of real time experience on the national scene who could talk a good show. I said in 2007 that whoever won this election was a one and done. McCain didn't have the vision, and Obama had no experience. That's an incontrovertible fact. We've got no one to blame but ourselves and our ever increasing lack of standards as to why we are in this mess. We went from you don't need any military experience to run the world's best military, and that kinda worked. From there, we went to you don't really need a lot of economic experience or military experience to run this country or the military and that kinda almost didn't work. From there, we went to just show up, and talk really good.
So here we are now, in the hole another 4-6 trillion before it's all said and done, a military people can actually make fun of and almost get away with it, and a country that's the complete laughing stock of the rest of the world unless they need our guns. Four more years of Obama and Roosevelt won't be able to recognize this country. We've gone from ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country to gimme gimme gimme and keep those entitlements coming. And the 52% of you that pay no taxes whatsoever shouldn't be bothered with those 48% that aren't paying their fair share for your benefits. That's where we're at.
So who is the clear choice here? Neither. But, if I have those two to choose from, I'm going with the guy that makes money. I don't like a lot about Romney, but he makes money. Obama looses money. Will Romney get us anywhere on health care? Not a chance. That monster is here to stay unless the tolls in this years elections exceed my expectations. So, at the end of the day, we need a President that understands how to make money, not take money. After four years of empty promises, it's time for something different. Back to Paul for a minute, and this is all the lip service I am giving to his cause. You needed him with the kind of money Perot had and you have a clear choice. I like a lot of what he has to say. I believe in his politics. I don't believe he has a shot at all, not one single chance of coming close to doing anything but get Obama re-elected. And if you thought the first four years were bad, wait till he has nothing to lose.
What else is new? In the coming posts, we'll discuss Obamacare and Romneycare, "tax breaks", and other points of interest. Be sure to comment my Facebook, or here.
