You know there are some things Pres. Obama say that just defy logic. I almost have to wonder if his speech writers are trying to get him kicked out of office. I really have to wonder who is behind the stupid stuff. Yes he does come out with some award winning speeches, and then he hauls off and lays a stinker. I mean there are some real stinkers, and then there are some that when you're done you just have to look in the mirror and ask yourself, "Am I really so stupid that I just told people that?"
Now, to all the people who will defend his stupidity, I understand the underlying context of the speech. Yes, people have to join in your idea or it never gets anywhere. Tact is the ability to be able to tell someone where to go, how to get there, and make them look forward to the ride. "If you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own." Now, I know what that means from an underlying perspective, but really, who do you think you are? Of course they got there on their own. Sure, they got success from people, but if they failed, then what? Are you bailing them out? Not a chance. Were you there to pay their bills and make sure they were comfortable while they were struggling, 16 hour days, not indulging in a single thing? Not a chance. During the months and years when they didn't make a dime were you there? Nope, probably playing golf. The point is, if they made it, they made it on their own, struggling, doing without, no food stamps, no welfare check, no nothing. Now I know there are some exceptions to the rule, and I know some people lean heavy on a support system, but for every one of those, there's 50 that struggled, and got somewhere. You recognize those people don't you? Those are the ones you are trying to make pay for the people who don't venture out and try something. And no, I have no tact there because those are the people who are buying your crap, Mr. President.
"You got a business? You didn't build that. Other people made that happen." Are you insane? I mean seriously, are you insane? Your constituency thinks you are an economic genius only because they don't know anything about how the economy works either and you prove you don't every time you make a ludicrous comment like this. Bono is not a job creator, neither is Clooney. They depend on people to make them who they are. If you want to address someone who didn't build something start with those two chodes. I tell you what, take that speech to the Small Business groups out there. That should win you a few more votes.
The nerve of the very inference and the underlying message don't really line up. Look, I know if I sell a computer, someone had to buy it. If I go into someone's business to work on their equipment, somebody had to trust me enough to let me in the door. But here's what Libertards, not Liberals, not Moderates, but the Libertards out here that buy into this mentality don't get. I bought the tools before anyone let me in the door. I bought the parts before someone bought the computer. Someone bought the computer and that bailed me out of a tight spot. Someone let me in the door so my tools aren't gathering dust. But I took the risk. And it appears I took the risk so someone else who risks nothing gets the reward. That's what Obama means by paying my fair share.
On a side note, you want people to stop calling him and everyone who supports him a Socialist, how about you stop acting like one. Okay?
